What our clients say

"Thanks very much for your promptness in arranging for the granite bench top and fireplace surround, especially given the short notice you had. I greatly appreciate your assistance with this. I must also commend the two guys “Ben” and “Andy” as they were really helpful and obviously take a lot of pride in their work."

The benchtop looks great and your installers did a great job too! You advised that it would be installed at 9:30am on Friday and they were knocking on my door at 9:30. It is not often you get this kind of service any more. Please thank the whole team, the whole process has been fantastic.

Just wanted to let you know we are thrilled with the granite bench top. We love the mix of quartz and other stones against the black…we think it’s a stunning slab and works so well in our house.
Thank you so much to you and your team

“I want to thank you all at Stone Warehouse for the wonderful experience it has been dealing with you, starting with your professionalism which convinced us we were dealing with the right company, through to your organisation of dates of measurement and installation – the early installation took so much pressure off us, it was a huge relief, and to the workmanship of the template maker, cutters and polishers, and installation guys. Every one a gem of a job.”

The Beauty of Granite

Beauty and durability make polished Granite a popular choice for many kitchen Benchtops. Granite is a common and widely occurring intrusive, felsic, igneous type of rock. Granite is nearly always massive and lacking internal structures, hard and tough, Granite has gained widespread popularity as the ‘stone of choice’ for Benchtop surfaces.

Granite slabs will have similar general characteristics, like colour, depending on where it has been mined. However, each slab will vary from the next to a greater degree than the engineered stones. It is therefore recommended that the slab is inspected prior to being cut for your bench top.

As Granite is a natural product small fine cracks can be present in the stone. These natural occurrences in the surface are not considered defects. Granite surfaces carry a 10-year limited warranty for residential Installations. Available in 20mm and 30mm thickness, it comes in an assortment of colours and surface finishes, e.g. Polished, Honed & Leathered. Granite can be mitred to form thicker profiles although this may not be possible in all colours.
